Life drawing 20th August 2015

I had been printmaking all day so was very tired by the time I got to life drawing. Then I discovered that the tinted charcoal pencils I thought I had in my bag weren’t and instead I had mainly Conté sticks and pencils. And it was hot.

We did some two-minute poses first, to get our hand-eye coordination flowing.

Then we did some longer poses. I think these were all 15-minute poses.

My impression by the end of the 2 hours was that I’d drawn very badly throughout that time, but looking at them again, apart from making the model look too broad in some, they’re not quite as bad as I thought. Hopefully, the next ones will be better.
